Class for Acquiring a CCW

The purpose of the CHL class is not to teach you how to shoot a pistol.  You should have experience shooting before taking this course.  The Shooting Proficiency portion of the course is to test your ability to safely handle and shoot your firearm.  If you need instruction to learn safe handling, shooting and pistol functions before taking the CCW course , please contact us or register on-line for the Pre-CCW course.

Your handgun proficiency certificate will indicate the category of handgun with which you successfully demonstrated proficiency.

DO NOT bring your firearm inside the classroom.
DO NOT bring a loaded firearm to the gun range.
DO NOT have any ammunition in your magazine.
Bring ONLY the firearm you are going to use to qualify with, plus one empty magazine.

If you don't have a firearm, eye protection or ear protection you may rent it.  Please let us know ahead of time.

The course of fire will be a total of 30 rounds.

10 rounds fired from the 3 yard line
10 rounds fired from the 7 yard line
10 rounds fired from the 15 yard line

We advise that you wear a baseball cap, collared shirt, and closed toe shoes to the gun range for the handgun proficiency portion of the class. Also make sure your firearm is clean and in good working condition.
The course includes the following:

• Application packet with state required paperwork
• Classroom fee
• Range fee
• Nevada CCW Laws and Selected Statutes Manual
• Targets

Private and Group First Fire

Pre-CCW Class

This hands-on class is designed t train and equip you to pass the Handgun Proficiency portion of the CCW test.  In this class we will cover:

• Sight alignment
• Sight picture
• Proper grip
• Proper stance
• Range and gun safety
• Loading/reloading
• Breathing control
• Trigger control and much more

After covering the basics, we will go to a local gun range and practice the actual Handgun Proficiency test.

You will need to bring:

• Handgun you will use for the CCW test
• Ear and eye protection
• 100 rounds of ammunition

First Fire Class

If you have never shot a handgun, this class is for you.  You will learn the basics in handgun safety and how to shoot a pistol.  The course will include:
